Tár; Compelling character created by Blanchett is fully realized & expressed to examine cancel culture & artistry. Specificity is almost excessive, adding to film’s run time in an effort for world building & emotional impact of eventual downfall. Art more than entertainment; B+

The Fabelmans; Heavy handed, overwrought personal filmmaking that means more to its director than his audience. Suffers from the fact that it’s better suited for a documentary on a young film prodigy’s origins than this sentimentalized drama. Chloe East steals her scenes; B

Fyre; Put together better than the festival it chronicles, doc has a lot of video and interviews from key participants to help ramp up the fuse to the impending disaster that was the Fyre festival. Delights when victims are self made but sad to see locals scammed by scum; B+
