Tetris; Thrillingly insane backstory about the tense yet enjoyable video game has an intriguing Cold War setting but has a hard time making all the story telling pieces fit together smoothly. Fun transitions, entertaining scenes & good performances keep it captivating; B+

Ghosted

Ghosted; Excellent action flick keeps getting derailed by attempts to make a RomCom happen. Script’s arguing banter seems forced between two extremely charismatic leads. Still, there’s enough surprises to entertain while obvious odes to action romances of the past are valiant; B+

The Banshees of Inisherin

The Banshees of Inisherin; Dark, dry comedy uses time and place to craft an original yarn about friendship unlike anything else. The tale won’t be to everyone’s taste but those that love quirky characters who populate remote villages will fall under the charm of these actors; B+
