Dune; Never before has a film looked so stunningly well crafted, designed, and shot, yet been so boring and devoid of anything to care about. Exceptional cast, looking fantastic, all adding to the amazing mood and world that’s been built. But so little happens in the setup; C

Doctor Sleep

Doctor Sleep; A sequel that deviates from an average Hollywood rehash, as it revisits characters & elements from original w/a lot of love & respect in its craft. McGregor is great & the story offers enough original angles while satisfying those wanting Kubrick film callbacks; B

The Kid Who Would Be King

The Kid Who Would Be King; Family film made in a way not often seen anymore. Earnest, in certain elements, w/love for the lore in its storytelling. Visual effects on a budget level that serve its purpose. Easy choice for children not quite teens, ready for a more mature movie; B

Men in Black: International

Men in Black: International; Script and direction seriously fails the talent of the leads. Would love to watch Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth in anything but this disaster. Retains none of what made previous MIB films fun or visually interesting. Unfortunate misfire; D
