Dune: Part Two; Every aspect of the craft of filmmaking is exquisitely done by each department, distracting from the relatively boring story. One would (and very well still could) fall asleep if it weren’t so spectacular to look at and listen to. An insanely talented cast adds to the ruse; B+

Spider-Man: No Way Home; Much more emotional than action packed, the theme of making the most out of second chances is well played out by the entire cast. Mirror verse imagery and multiverse possibilities make for some fun dynamics. Final credits are super cool too; A

Dune; Never before has a film looked so stunningly well crafted, designed, and shot, yet been so boring and devoid of anything to care about. Exceptional cast, looking fantastic, all adding to the amazing mood and world that’s been built. But so little happens in the setup; C

Spider-Man: Far From Home; Fun instalment makes some leaps that are unexplained yet don’t deter from offering an amazing, exciting ride. Cast continues to excel but loose ends from Homecoming are ignored for further extensions of the Avengers storyline. Keep focus on Spidey!; A-

Smallfoot; A bizarrely odd imbalance of animated hi jinks, with more songs than the advertisement campaign let on. The characters aren't at all that likeable, creating a disconnect to the story and its messaging. Can't quite seem to find a rhythm but has its moments; B-
