Us; More straight up horror from Peele, with some clever undertones of social commentary that layer the gore with deeper meaning. Like Romero’s Zombies, there’s a lot to unpack and what doesn’t connect is at least thoroughly entertaining to watch. Creepy on many levels; A-

Nope; Creepily crafted horror with nods to cinematic greats, a Jaws for the current generation. Finely cast and cleverly paced, peeling back layers towards a thrilling climax, with plenty of allegory to dissect afterwards. What you’d expect, while offering plenty of surprises; A-

Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4; Introduces some fun, new characters which only goes to show how much this series needs to be retired. Animation is top notch and would be better applied to new, original material. And Randy Newman’s music has overstayed it’s welcome by about 4 movies; B+

Get Out

Get Out; A fine play on horror tropes juxtaposed with race relations. Exposes the creepiest behaviour and cleverly, it doesn’t come from the horror genre elements; A-

Keanu

Keanu; Enough potential to warrant further Key & Peele movies but not enough humour to sustain the premise for a feature length film; B-
