Dune: Part Two; Every aspect of the craft of filmmaking is exquisitely done by each department, distracting from the relatively boring story. One would (and very well still could) fall asleep if it weren’t so spectacular to look at and listen to. An insanely talented cast adds to the ruse; B+

Annie Hall; Allen’s direction and writing overshadow his acting, as clever antics in both form and pathos combine to create an all-time classic. Keaton is absolutely adorable, fashionable and funny and way out of Allen’s league. A love story for love lost and not learned; A

The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book; @Jon_Favreau proves he's this century's Spielberg w/a cinematic achievement that's highly entertaining & honours past; B+

Seven Psychopaths

Seven Psychopaths; Cast makes indie cliche script a lot more fun to watch than it deserves. Actors deliver the right tone of humour/drama; B

Pulp Fiction (Pan & Scan)

Pulp Fiction; A reviewer's paradise. I would review this movie a thousand times and still find something new to rave about. After seeing it four times at the theatre and countless times on video (I own 3 different copies) I managed to catch his film on Showcase. That is why it has only received an A. The movie loses very little in its Pan & Scan version but that "little" is Tarantino's amazing use of the widescreen. Pulling from influences like Scorcese's long tracking and Kubrick's horizontal shift through walls, Tarantino manages to mix great filming with fresh, natural sounding dialogue to visual appeal is an A+. Everything that is except the Pan & Scan format; A
