Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio; Expertly crafted to match the tone and aesthetic of del Toro’s incomparable vision. Perfectly executed by its talented voice cast, composer and animators. Gives so much heart to an old wooden monster story with its message about loving life; A+

No Time to Die

No Time To Die; Substitutes stunt spectaculars for emotional storytelling, which isn’t quite what a casual Bond audience wants. Barely a memorable action sequence, wasting this talented cast on this franchise when they could be portraying better characters elsewhere; C+

Alita: Battle Angel

Alita: Battle Angel; Everything you’d expect from the creative minds of Rodriguez & Cameron. Interesting visuals, choreographed action scenes and an attempt at building mythology. Whether we care about it all is another matter. I was entertained but not left wanting more; B
