Roofman

Roofman; Ripped from real life robber romance that would be difficult to believe if it weren’t true. Having Channing Tatum portray the charming criminal certainly doesn’t hurt the story & becoming emotionally invested. Not a happy tale, but an interesting one to watch unfold via a stacked cast; B+

Free Guy; Fun, exciting existential exercise set in a digital world that is fresh enough and when it is derivative it’s from the better sources of Spielberg, Nolan and the Wachowskis. Not groundbreaking but good fun with a little food for thought. Classic Reynolds humour; B+

Smallfoot; A bizarrely odd imbalance of animated hi jinks, with more songs than the advertisement campaign let on. The characters aren't at all that likeable, creating a disconnect to the story and its messaging. Can't quite seem to find a rhythm but has its moments; B-

Logan Lucky; Workman like director Soderbergh delivers another solid, quality film that entertains from start to finish. Excellent cast crafts a quirky heist that feels fresh and original within a familiar genre. Refuses to succumb to categorization by just telling the story; B+
