I.S.S.

I.S.S.; The Among Us susness premise is not overly drawn out, and the key pieces and relationships are quickly established enough for us to believe in the individual character motivations and to care about these people in space orbit. Nicely paced bit of creepiness and tension on a budget; B

Argylle; Give in to absurdity of this premise & enjoy the ride. Ignore the horrible casting of Howard & relish in Rockwell & rest of cast executing this work to a level Vaughn is envisioning. Hilarious, preposterous & fully in on the joke, by the time the skating happens, you’re either in or out; B

Wish

Wish; Slightly unfair review because I was sleeping for some of it, but from what I recall, music has some spectacular songs, performances are fine, but story & art are derivative & easily forgettable. Characters seem plucked out of missing first act, w/confusing motivations; B-

West Side Story; Reimagining does a great job of refreshing elements while staying true to what makes the original an undeniable classic. Songs, choreography and score remain the highlights as new cast works well within the old parameters. Doesn’t detract from its predecessor; A-

The Prom

The Prom; Technicolour transfer of stage musical seems hand picked for Murphy’s Glee pedigree. A-list cast + musical veterans excel and revel in their roles, while pushing the focus of the film’s LGBTQ2 couple off screen to a degree. Still, loads of fun numbers for everyone; B+
