Cinderella; Jukebox Musical has some clever song selection but it’s been done before in A Knight’s Tale and Ella Enchanted. The cast has a lot of fun inhabiting their roles. Good as a silly time passer, like those ancient things known as music videos; B-

The Prom; Technicolour transfer of stage musical seems hand picked for Murphy’s Glee pedigree. A-list cast + musical veterans excel and revel in their roles, while pushing the focus of the film’s LGBTQ2 couple off screen to a degree. Still, loads of fun numbers for everyone; B+

Trolls World Tour

Trolls World Tour; Serviceable sequel doesn’t hit the heights of the original in terms of catchy hits & emotional stakes but offers plenty of fun new characters to the Troll cornucopia. Bloom is particularly excellent in the limited screen time she has. Harmless frivolous fun; B

SmallFoot

Smallfoot; A bizarrely odd imbalance of animated hi jinks, with more songs than the advertisement campaign let on. The characters aren't at all that likeable, creating a disconnect to the story and its messaging. Can't quite seem to find a rhythm but has its moments; B-

Into the Woods; Sondheim songs hit emotional depths of humour, horror and sadness. Perfectly cast and performed. Highly entertaining; A-
